The pretty village of Barrington is situated in surrounding countryside & contains many stone built character properties, village inn, village hall, recreation field and 13th century parish church. Most of the village is designated as a conservation area and is probably best known for Barrington Court, its gardens and its historic manor house, part of the National Trust. South Petherton is four miles. The market town of Ilminster with its range of shops, schools and other facilities is around four miles, Curry Rivel six and Yeovil fifteen miles. Mainline rail links at Taunton, Crewkerne, Yeovil and Castle Cary, the A303, and international airports at Bournemouth, Bristol and Exeter. The area offers excellent access to destinations further afield with the M5 motorway at Taunton.
